part two
part one →The Owl's Nest is a shared residential community designed for a group of five clients with a longstanding personal connection. The space is curated around their shared background in music, reflecting a collective identity shaped by years of professional practice and a continued, everyday relationship with sound. The design seeks to honor that foundation while supporting the full range of communal and private life.
program
Kitchen & Dining
A full kitchen and dining area conceived for communal everyday living — shared meals, conversation, and the rhythms of a household in common.
Library Lounge
A quiet, relaxed retreat for leisure and reflection, accommodating the clients' personal collections and offering a slower counterpoint to the home's more active spaces.
Specialty Room
A custom-designed room dedicated to the clients' shared practice, outfitted with high-end specialist equipment and tailored material finishes to support both performance and immersive experience.
design considerations
The design supports a fluid transition between communal and contemplative modes of living. Each space serves a distinct function within the household while contributing to a cohesive interior atmosphere.
